So after much thought and consideration I have decided to enter the world of blogging. Now don't get too excited, my life isn't as full of adventure as others. I guess to begin with I will update everyone on my life.
In January I transfered to BYU-Idaho. I have now completed three semesters there. I'm definately grateful for the break from classes for Christmas. I am majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Music. I have just one more semester of classes that I am taking in January and then an internship to finish things up in the summer. If all works out I should graduate in July! As excited as I am for that it also makes me a little nervous. I'm not really sure what life has in store for me. If anyone knows of any good internships let me know. :)
This semester I played volleyball at BYU-I. When the school became a University they dropped all of their intercollegiate sports. Now they have a recreational league and a competative league, allowing more students to participate. I've played in the competative league the past two semesters. The competative league has tryouts, practices and weekly games. We finished up our season just before Thanksgiving. Because of the large number of girls that play in the Fall we had a JV and a Varsity for every team. My team was the Bruins. I ended up playing on both teams. We had a double elimination tournament at the end of the season. My teams both ended up taking the championship. It is a good way to meet new people and volleyball is one of my favorite past times.
This past semester I was taking a full credit load of 15 credits. I was determined to get good grades and was shooting for the ultimate 4.0 GPA. I hadn't yet achieved this feat in college and I knew if it was going to happen this was the semester to do it. I got off to a little bit of a rocky start trying to figure out what my teachers wanted and where I was going to study. I usually just study in the peace and quite of my room, but my new roommate (who I love dearly) likes noise a little bit more than I do. After I realized that it was a futile effort trying to study at home, I became friends with the library. I think I spent more time on campus than any where else. My roommates sometimes wondered if I was alive. I would leave the house at 7:30 a.m. to make it to my 7:45 a.m. class. Then I would come home for lunch for about an hour at around 11:30 a.m. Then I would go to class again, go to volleyball practice and then study at the library until any where between 8:30-11:30 p.m. This wasn't an every day occurance, but it happened more often than I would have liked. I was taking General Chemistry, Sports Medicine, Doctrine and Covenants, Kinesiology and Piano lessons (requiring 45 minutes of practice six days a week). After a hard semester, I scraped by and pulled off my 4.0. If you ask Heather, I started jumping up and down doing my victory dance when I found out my grades. I was one happy camper.
So that is the most recent new about me. I will try to post more of my college excitement, but I make no promises.
