Let's get artsy!

So I haven't posted a new belief for this week yet because I just finished it today. So soon I will have another one be ready. This week I got a lot of things done because I was determined to be better than lasts week blah. I worked on my capstone project a for hours this week and turned in my 2nd draft today. It is so nice to have that off my chest. I also took a test for my multi-systems class. This class is pretty much a catch all where they dump everything extra they think we should get in the program. This is the second test I've taken in a week and I had a little bit of the same result. I only missed 3 points on the test and it was because I second guessed myself and changed my answer. I'm starting to see that I want to have more confidence in my abilities. I am intelligent. I am learning things in school and I know the right answers. I just want to go with my gut and then I will succeed.

So my new belief in that I am boldly free. I know that I've been putting these up in big letters, but this week I decided to get a little more creative with posting my belief. I wanted to get intimate with this one. So here is the end result:

I'm not a educated artist so it leaves a little to be desired, but it gets my point across. I am not going to let my negative beliefs hold me back. I am boldly going to take them on and allow myself the freedom to choose what ever I want. It was interesting to go through this process and realize all the things that I've already done that have set me free or that took courage to take on or conquer. This program is helping me to see myself in a new light. It isn't making me into a new person. It is showing me who I already and magnifying those qualities that I already have. Let me tell you I feel so free today!

I had an amazing Power 90 class tonight and I've learned great tools. Through out this week I will be solidifying my 90 day goal. I'm so excited for the outcome! I'm not working on something tangible. I know how to achieve tangible things in my life. I'm going to set myself free. I'm going to be authentically me. I'm going to accomplish amazing things by not limiting myself with phantom rules and doubt.

Thank you to all those who have supported me thus far. I appreciate your words of encouragement!

Love

So this week has been rough. I'm still trying to figure out why, maybe I'm just burnt out. I've had zero motivation to do anything. Although I've been doing a positive review of my day, every day this week and I've come up with some great lists. My new belief this week was one that went pretty deep for me.

I am worthy of LOVE!

I sent out an email to a number of people asking them to help me solidify this new belief. I was amazed by the responses I received. Some people gave me one example and others listed off whole paragraphs on things they loved or admired about me. As I was reading through them I started seeing themes, things that everyone noticed.

Sometimes I think it is hard for us to see the amazing things that we do in our lives or the way that we influence others. I know that I for one am really hard on myself. Most of the things I do are never good enough in my eyes and I can always do better. I guess that is where my drive and motivation come from. I can always improve. I think that at some point we need to take a step back and realize how far we have come. Take a look at where you are and start to love the things you've accomplished. Loving yourself, I think, is one of the hardest things to do. I can go around loving other people, but until I truly love myself for who I am do I really have the capacity to fully love others?

This goes along with my focus for last week of being Charitable. I know that the more we allow ourselves to focus on these things the more they will grow in our lives. What you do grows. If you think you are going to fail a test, you probably will. If you think you are going to accomplish something amazing you probably will. Sometimes these things take time to grow and mature into greatness, but through that focus you can make things happen.

Now I want to put in a disclaimer here, I do love myself. This was not meant to be a I'm depressed and hate my life so I want to see how many people I can get to tell me they love me. The messages I sent were to people I already knew loved me. Sometimes we don't understand why people love us. What is even better is that I got a chance to tell many of those people why I loved them. To me being worthy of love is multi-faceted. It encompasses letting others love me, loving myself and allowing myself to love others. Pretty much it is a bunch of love.

So if you have gotten to the end of this message I challenge you to go out and tell someone you love them and one reason they are important to you. It is amazing what it does for you and you have no idea how much it will mean to them.

Here's to LOVE!

Painting my boat!

Can I just say that life has been so crazy! Last week my roommate decided she was going to move out. Lucky for me I am quick on my feet and found a roommate. With in one week I helped my move my roommate out, moved my new roommate in and signed a new lease. Now if that isn't skill I don't know what is :) I was working on getting my Capstone project turned in last weekend, but it didn't happen. I did spend about 12 hours working on it over the last two days though and got it turned in this morning. Such a relief to have the first draft in....more to come I'm sure.

It has been great to have a roommate again. My old when has been MIA since I got back from Oregon. I've found that I'm a big people person. Even if I don't see my new one all the time because our schedules don't match up perfectly, it is nice to know that someone is around.

This week my new belief is:

I am the strength and brilliance of reason!

Because that is who I am I no longer put off big projects. I can conquer anything with a little effort. I get to think through challenges with peace and calm. It was amazing how well this worked for me yesterday.

Also I discovered what my perfect end result is for me. I am going to accomplish it through Courage, Strength and Determination. I hope that for who ever reads this blog you can take my words for a better understand of who I am and how I am now living my life. I don't post these new beliefs to be full of myself or think that I am better than anyone else. Really I am embracing who I have been and what my souls tells me is true about me. I choose to be me!
