So I don't know how many people actually read this thing. I hope most of you have other contact with me because I've been super busy and haven't posted anything since September. My dilemma is I don't want to use my blog to complain. All I am really doing right now is graduate school. I don't know how interesting that really is for people. I love talking about anatomy and my classes, but I find that others don't share my fascination with the human body.
This semester we are taking 20 credits. It is a crazy amount of credits and no I didn't have a choice. They handed me a class list and said sign up for these classes, so I did just that. We had a teacher yesterday ask us if we would choose to sign up for this program again if we knew what it was going to be like. This was after we had sat through 8 hours of class that day. We all declined to answer and said they shouldn't ask us questions like that. Personally, I've thought about it a lot since August. I ask myself why I did this. For some reason Heavenly Father thought it would be a good idea, so I jumped on board. I've found that it is better to act quickly then to put yourself through a lot of grief and then end up doing what he said anyway.
So I am currently taking Kinesiology (study of movement), Therapeutic Exercise, Neuroscience, Manual Evaluation and Therapy, Clinical Procedures and Practicum (working in a clinic for free). This semester has been so hectic so far. I am completely exhausted and it has only been a week. I finish my Practicum on February 7th, so life should get a little better after that. This is supposed to be the hardest semester of the program. You take all your foundational classes to get you ready for your first clinical affiliation in the summer. Right now I feel overwhelmed and inadequate. I know there is going to be a learning curve, but I feel like I am on the bottom of the curve and the slope up seems impossible to achieve. Don't worry, I'm stubborn and will make it through. I'll even try to have fun doing it.
So that is pretty much my life right now. If you want to know anything else let me know.
